Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, EAP

If you are the dependent and/or beneficiary of a deceased Intuit employee:

  • As a surviving dependent of an employee who passes and, if you are currently covered under the employee’s medical, dental, vision and EAP benefits, you are eligible for up to 36 months of continued coverage under COBRA. Alight will send you a COBRA notification package within 14 days of the notification of the employee’s death.
  • If you elect, Intuit will cover the first 12 months of your COBRA coverage at no cost to you.
  • Once the 12-month period ends, you will be billed for your coverage at the current COBRA rates in place.
  • You may qualify for lower costs on health coverage by buying through the health insurance marketplace.

If you are an Intuit employee, and your dependent and/or beneficiary has died:

  • You can drop coverage for your dependent.
  • You should update your beneficiary selections on file for both the Intuit 401(k) Plan and Life Insurance.
  • If you had optional life insurance for your dependent, open a ticket with HR Connect to start the life insurance claim process.
