Take advantage of the many benefits that Intuits offers, or make changes to your current elections. Here’s what you need to know:
Enrolling
Learn how to enroll in health and life insurance benefits.
Within 10 business days after your enrollment window and your life insurance beneficiary election, you will receive instructions about creating an online account with Sun Life. You’ll also receive a Sun Life prescription drug card. You can print a temporary prescription drug card Sun Life website.
Once your Sun Life account has been established, you can enroll in the Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP).
Opting out of coverage
If you have private health coverage elsewhere, you can elect to opt out of medical and dental coverage within 31 days of your hire date.
If you opt out, you will not have the opportunity to elect coverage in the future without an evidence of insurability (EOI) form, and coverage at that time is not guaranteed. You will need to make the request in writing to HRC and show that you are covered elsewhere at comparable cover under another group plan (such as your spouse’s plan).
Making changes
When you experience certain life events such as having a baby or getting married, you may want to make changes to your benefit coverage and edits to your beneficiaries. Learn more about what actions you need to take in the case of certain life events.
If you have a qualified life event, (such as you have a baby, get married, or lose health coverage held elsewhere) you can enrol or add dependents without an EOI form within 31 days of the event.
