I’m leaving Intuit

We wish you well in your future endeavors. Here’s what you need to know to transition and/or terminate your Intuit benefits.

Medical, dental, vision, & life insurance

If you leave Intuit, your benefits end on your last day of employment. You may continue your benefit coverage through Sun Life at your own expense.

Medical, dental and vision coverage: Apply within 60 days from your last day of employment for Sun Life's My Health Choices. Learn more about your health insurance coverage options and costs through Sun Life.

Life insurance coverage: Apply within 31 days of your last day of employment for Sun Life's My Life Choices. Learn more about your life insurance coverage options and costs through Sun Life.

Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP)

When you leave Intuit or retire, you have options about what to do with your RRSP savings. Your choices include:

  • Transfer to the Sun Life Group Choices Plan RRSP—a group plan specifically for employees when they leave their employer
  • Transfer to another RRSP, RRIF, or pension plan
  • Life annuity or fixed-term annuity payable up to age 90
  • Lump-sum cash distribution, less taxes

If you don't select an option within 90 days of your termination date with Intuit, your RRSP benefit will be either paid to you in a lump sum, less withholding taxes (small balances only), or automatically transferred to the Sun Life Group Choices Plan RRSP and invested (“matched”) in the same or similar funds under the new plan. Any unmatched amounts will be invested as indicated by the option package that you will receive upon termination of employment.

You may also want to

  • Use Intuit’s mental health and wellbeing programs to help you handle life’s challenges, build resilience and ease your stress. These resources will be available to you and your family until 30 days after your last day of work.
  • Submit your reimbursement request and receipts for the Wellbeing for Life program by uploading them to  Darwin, your benefits administrator at least 10 business days before your termination date. Once you log in via single sign on, select Reimbursements. Your request must be approved before your termination date. Any pending requests are still subject to review and have the potential to be rejected.
  • Make donations to the Donation Matching program—and enter them into EasyMatch—before your last day of employment. The donation match will be processed on the next quarterly processing date.
  • Visit Workday to review your accrued and unused vacation time. You’ll be paid for this time in your final paycheck. Unused sick leave or holidays are not paid at termination.
