Flu Shots

Beating the flu starts with prevention—a flu shot is one of the easiest ways to do that. Experts recommend that you get one every year in the fall. So, don’t wait! Here are your options:

Onsite Clinics

The easiest way to get a flu shot is at Intuit’s onsite flu shot clinic. It’s also free! No appointment is necessary. Clinics are held every September and October in every Intuit office for employees only. Spouses and domestic partners can use their medical plan to get a flu shot.

Check the onsite clinic schedule to see the date and time for your location.

2019 Flu Shot

This year’s flu shot covers four strains of flu:

  • A/Brisbane/02/2018 (H1N1)pdm09-like virus (updated)
  • A/Kansas/14/2017 (H3N2)-like virus (updated)
  • B/Colorado/06/2017-like (Victoria lineage) virus
  • B/Phuket/3073/2013-like (Yamagata lineage) virus

The shot given in the Mountain View office does not contain thimerosal while the shot given in all other offices contains small traces of thimerosal.

If you prefer to receive the live mist vaccine, you can do so by presenting your medical benefit card at your pharmacy. The flu live mist vaccine is covered 100% on all medical plans, but it will not be available through the onsite flu shot clinics.

On Your Own

Most pharmacies also offer the flu shot. Intuit’s medical plans cover in-network preventive care at 100%—including flu shots. Find an in-network pharmacy near you at:

Note: When getting your flu shot at a pharmacy, be sure to provide your medical plan card (Cigna or UHC) instead of your pharmacy benefit card (CVS). Your vaccine coverage is through the medical plan.
