Leaves of Absence

If you're having a baby, injured or caring for a family member, you may need to be away from work. Each of the leaves outlined below have specific details on eligibility, pay and job protection, and the process you must follow to report and manage your leave. For more information, go to Insight.

Adoption

If you're the primary care giver, you're eligible to take up to 26 weeks. You must have worked at Intuit for at least 80 days by the week you are notified of a match with the adopted child.

This leave is paid.

Maternity

New mothers are eligible for up to 26 weeks to care for their newborns.

This leave is paid.

Medical

You are eligible for a medical leave if you are unable to work more than four hours a day for 30 consecutive working days due to an injury or illness.​​

This leave is partially paid.

Personal

Personal leaves may be granted at Intuit's sole discretion if you are ineligible for, or have exhausted, all other available leaves. If you have completed 6 months of continuous service, you may be granted a personal leave. If you have completed less than 6 months of continuous, full-time service, you are not eligible for a personal leave. Personal leaves may be granted for a minimum of 10 days and a maximum of 6 months.

This leave is unpaid.

Surrogacy

If you have a child through surrogacy, you are eligible for up to 26 weeks.

This leave is paid.
