How it works
Lyra can help you with common behavioral issues that can be treated through short-term outpatient care, including:
- Parent and caregiver stress
- Anger management
- Anxiety and depression
- Substance use
- Sleep disorders
- Work stress and burnout
- Relationship challenges
Lyra makes it easier to find and receive confidential, personalized mental health care. Their online platform allows you to sign up in just a few clicks, find the right coach or therapist for your needs, and quickly book an in-person appointment or a session via live video.
As you near your 12 free sessions, your provider will work with you to see if you meet the clinical criteria for extended care. If you are enrolled in UHC or Cigna and your provider determines that it is necessary for you to receive additional treatment, you can continue treatment with Lyra through your medical plan, as a behavioral health visit with an in-network provider, at no additional cost. (For the Cigna Choice Fund with HSA, the plan pays 100% after you meet the deductible.)
For members enrolled in Kaiser or not enrolled in an Intuit health plan, your Lyra provider will work with you to determine the best care approach as you near the end of your 12 sessions. Your 12-session benefit resets on August 1 of each year.

Find coaching and therapy for children
Parents parent seeking care for a child under age 18 first need to create an account for your child(ren), then navigate to the Search for Care page and select Find my child care (2–17).
Dependents over the age of 18 can create their own account and search for and schedule care with a Lyra provider without parental permission. Lyra collects individuals’ dates of birth during registration to determine appropriate use and may restrict access. If you or your dependent 18+ experience difficulty accessing the platform, please contact the Lyra care team.
