Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

Lyra Health, Intuit’s EAP provider, is ready to help with small issues, big problems, and everything in between.  Lyra provides free, confidential, evidence-based mental health care for you and your family—when and how you want it. Whether you’re feeling stressed, anxious, or depressed, support from Lyra can get you back on your feet.

As an eligible employee, you, your eligible dependents, and your spouse or domestic partner can each access 12 coaching or therapy sessions per year at no cost to you.

NOTE: Lyra Health replaced Optum as your EAP provider on August 1, 2022.

If you’re currently seeing a therapist through the Optum EAP

You can transition to a Lyra EAP provider starting August 1, 2022. Get started at intuit.lyrahealth.com. If you have questions or need help, email Lyra’s care team or call them at 1-877-212-7941.

Here’s how to coordinate care based on your medical plan:

  • UnitedHealthcare (UHC) members: You can continue to see your current provider through your medical plan, as a behavioral health visit with an in-network provider, at no additional cost. Or you can choose a new EAP provider through Lyra.
  • Cigna or Kaiser members, or if you’re not enrolled in an Intuit medical plan: You’ll need to inform your provider that the Optum EAP is no longer an authorized provider. You can either select a new EAP provider through Lyra or ask your provider to join the Lyra network. Learn more at intuit.lyrahealth.com.

Eligibility

Regular employees, your spouse or domestic partner, and your dependents under age 26.

How It Works

Lyra can help you with common behavioral issues that can be treated through short-term outpatient care, including:

  • Parent and caregiver stress
  • Anger management
  • Anxiety and depression
  • Substance use
  • Sleep disorders
  • Work stress and burnout
  • Relationship challenges

Lyra makes it easier to find and receive confidential, personalized mental health care. Their online platform allows you to sign up in just a few clicks, find the right coach or therapist for your needs, and quickly book an in-person appointment or a session via live video.

As you near your 12 free sessions, your provider will work with you to see if you meet the clinical criteria for extended care. If you are enrolled in UHC or Cigna and your provider determines that it is necessary for you to receive additional treatment, you can continue treatment with Lyra through your medical plan, as a behavioral health visit with an in-network provider, at no additional cost. (For the Cigna Choice Fund with HSA, the plan pays 100% after you meet the deductible.)

For members enrolled in Kaiser or not enrolled in an Intuit health plan, your Lyra provider will work with you to determine the best care approach as you near the end of your 12 sessions. Your 12-session benefit resets on August 1 of each year.
